The 2021 NFL Draft has just ended, but it is never too early to look ahead. Here is the 2022 NFL Mock Draft May 1.

Note: Draft order is by current Super Bowl odds.

1. Houston Texans- Spencer Rattler, QB, Oklahoma

As the way things currently stand, the Texans will likely need a new quarterback next year. Rattler has great athleticism and a live arm, but needs to take a step forward to be the numer one overall pick.

2. Detroit Lions- Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina

If the Lions are drafting this highly, they are likely going to be replacing Jared Goff at quarterback. Howell has helped make North Carolina a good program again under Mack Brown.

3. Cincinnati Bengals- Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

Thibodeaux is the current frontrunner to be the best player in the class. The Bengals have spent a lot of draft capital on the offensive side of the ball and need an elite pass rusher.

4. New York Jets- Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU

The Jets have given Zach Wilson a lot of help on offense in the 2021 NFL Draft. They need to get the defense right and Stingley has been great in his young college career already.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars- Justyn Ross, WR, Clemson

This pick is totally dependent on Ross’ health, as he has a neck injury, but he is a great receiver that could help Trevor Lawrence develop in his second season.

6. Las Vegas Raiders- Kedon Slovis, QB, USC

Quarterbacks always rise by the time the draft comes around. If the Raiders are picking in the top 10, it’s time to move on from Derek Carr.

7. Philadelphia Eagles-Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

Hamilton is all over the field for the Fighting Irish and can be an impact safety in the NFL.

8. New York Giants- Drake Jackson, EDGE USC

Daniel Jones has enough weapons to make it work. When the Giants won Super Bowls, it was because of their dominant defensive line.

9. Carolina Panthers- Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

The Panthers drafted Terrace Marshall Jr. on day two of the 2021 NFL Draft, but could use some more wide receiver help for Sam Darnold if they aren’t within range to draft a quarterback.

10. Washington Football Team- JT Daniels, QB, Georgia

Washington still needs to find a long-term answer at quarterback because the rest of their roster looks ready to rock.

11. Atlanta Falcons-Zach Harrison, EDGE, Ohio State

Harrison is the next great Ohio State edge rusher and the Falcons desparately need help on defense.

12. New York Giants (via CHI)- Christian Harris, LB, Alabama

Getting an impact linebacker can really help the entire defense take a step forward.

13. Arizona Cardinals-Demarvin Leal, Edge, Texas A&M

Both J.J. Watt and Chandler Jones are aging and the Cardinals need to find someone new to get after the quarterback.

14. Pittsburgh Steelers-Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

The Steelers didn’t adequately address the offensive line in the 2021 NFL Draft and need to get someone in the next draft class.

15. Minnesota Vikings- Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida

Patrick Peterson is aging and isn’t the long-term answer at corner.

16. Tennessee Titans- George Pickens, WR, Georgia

Tennessee needs another wideout to go with A.J. Brown and didn’t get one in the 2021 NFL Draft.

17. Los Angeles Chargers- George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

Melvin Ingram is a free agent and aging. The Chargers should acquire a new edge rusher to go with Joey Bosa.

18. New England Patriots- Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

The Patriots still don’t have great wide receivers and Olave would’ve been drafted early had he entered the 2021 NFL Draft.

19. Philadelphia Eagles (via MIA)-Ventrell Miller, LB, Florida

Loading up on different levels of the defense would be a good idea for the Eagles after adding to their offense in the 2021 NFL Draft.

20. New Orleans Saints- Bubba Bolden, S, Miami

The Saints have Malcolm Jenkins back at safety, but could use a safety for down the road.

21. Indianapolis Colts- Zion Nelson, OT, Miami

Anthony Castonzo retired and the Colts didn’t draft a replacement in the 2021 NFL Draft.

22. Dallas Cowboys- Josh Jobe, CB, Alabama

After taking Kelvin Joseph in the second round, the Cowboys still need more secondary help in 2022.

23. New York Jets (via SEA)- Jalen Wydermyer, TE, Texas A&M

Getting Wilson a good tight end will only help his development.

24. Denver Broncos- Sevyn Banks, CB, Ohio State

The Broncos drafted Patrick Surtain II and passed on a quarterback. Their reasoning was that they had players with expiring contracts. They are out of range for a quarterback here, but can continue to replace those players with Banks.

25. Green Bay Packers- John Metchie, WR, Alabama

At some point, if the Packers can convince Aaron Rodgers to return, they need to get him some better help at wide receiver.

26. Cleveland Browns- Perrion Winfrey, DL, Oklahoma

The Browns don’t have many needs and can take best player available.

27. Baltimore Ravens- Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

After trading away Orlando Brown, the Ravens need to get a possible replacement.

28. Miami Dolphins (via SF)- Rasheed Walker, OT, Penn State

The Dolphins can move Robert Hunt to guard, but need a tackle to be able to improve the line.

29. Buffalo Bills- Breece Hall, RB, Iowa State

Buffalo reportedly wanted a running back in the 2021 NFL Draft, but didn’t draft one. They can take Hall, who is a solid all-around back.

30. Detroit Lions (via LAR)-Frank Ladson Jr., WR, Clemson

The Lions still need more weapons on offense before they can be successful.

31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati

At some point the Buccaneers will need to draft the quarterback of the future.

32. Kansas City Chiefs-Aidan Hutchinson, Edge, Michigan

For the Chiefs’ defense to really improve, they have to get more pressure on the quarterback.
