Equipment
Here's what you need to effectively train in TKD:
The
first item you need is a uniform. Choices in uniform vary in terms of
material quality. A uniform typically costs about £25 - £50

The next piece of equipment you should then get are the body protectors.
This comes in handy during sparring sessions. Typical costs are £40

Shoes are purely optional but will save your feet from a lot of wear and
tear. Note that shoes are not allowed to be worn during competitions.

Arm guards are useful for blocking against kicks. Costs are £20

Shin guards are definitely recommended. There will be many times when
you and your opponent kick at the same time and clash legs. Costs around
£20

Helmets are compulsory in competition. Costs around £20

Groin protectors are also compulsory during competition. Costs around
£25

Mouth guards are a must during competition as well. A cheap one costs
around £2, and for more comfort and customisation, a good one can
set you back £15-25

Target pads are used for practicing your kicks with. It's handy to have
your own one so that you can practice on them in your spare time, all you
need are these target pads and someone to hold them. |
Golden
Eagle Tae Kwon Do jackets.
Cusom made Golden Eagle jackets will be a lovely addition to your
wardrobe, especially when we go to tournaments. They are lined inside with
a poly/cotton lining that goes right down to the cuffs, and the outer shell
is 100 percent polyester, which of course makes
it machine washable. There is also a hood zipped in to the collar, and the
whole thing rolls up to virtually nothing, when not worn.
The colour is black and anthracite, it also has two side zip pockets. Our
club logo is on the front, and our web address and "taekwondo"
printed on the back.
The price is £25.00 for children and £30.00 for the adults.
Sean has a
few left in stock, or if your size has gone they available to order.
