Welcome to the new year 2007 A happy new year to all members of Golden Eagle TKD. Last year 2006 was exciting, with the first Club championship a big success, the fun trip to Bonn to watch the European championship, black belt gradings, TKD displays and lots of medals at the tournaments. We hope 2007 will be even better!

TKD Annual Dinner- 25 November We are planning a TKD annual dinner on the 25th November at Prezzo, which serves italian food, mains costs less than £9. European Taekwondo in ~~Dusseldorf~~ Bonn- 26-28 May 06 There is a trip To Bonn being organised to watch the last 2 days of this competition in Germany. Itineary: flying out late Friday 26 May, returning late 28 May. This is held over a weekend so no time off work needed. If you are interested in finding out more, contact Simon or Sean at training. New rules in WTF Here are some new rules which have come into effect recently Shrink the competition area to 10x10 metres and eliminate the Attention Area and Attention Line Reduce the length of competition to 3 rounds of 2 minutes each with 1 minute of rest between rounds

Junel 05 grading session complete The recent supplementary grading on Saturday 5th June is over. Congratulations to those who passed their grading.
17th World TKD championships Madrid - 15-18 Apr 05 A large group from the Golden Eagle TKD club descended to the hapless Spanish city of Madrid for the world tkd championships. From all accounts, it was a fantastic trip - great atmostphere, excellent fights, explosive knockouts and the group even found time to do the touristy things in Madrid. Check out the photos.

April 05 grading session complete The grading on Saturday April 2nd is now complete. Congratulations to all students who passed the grading test. For those who didn't pass, better luck next time, but don't be discouraged as grading is not easy. Strict passing marks encourages all of our students to keep their grades up.
